Pottery Classes in Historic Downtown Elkhorn, Nebraska
Come Clay With Me!

Come Clay With Me!
Kimba Hawks lives in Elkhorn, Nebraska with her husband Brad. Kimba has 3 children, and 1 grandchild. She is a mostly self-taught potter. In 1980, Kimba took a pottery class in high school and began her love for pottery. She purchased her first pottery wheel at a garage sale shortly after she got married. Kimba set her wheel up in closets, the garage, laundry room or wherever she found space. During her search for pottery supplies, she found the arts and craft store at the Air Force Base and soon began teaching children pottery on base. Kimba lived in England and took pottery lessons from Rob Bibby in a 14th Century church turned pottery studio. In 2012, Kimba opened a pottery studio and taught classes in her basement. In 2013, she opened Kimba’s Touch Pottery at its current location. Kimba’s pottery students range from age 12 to 100!
